Wolverine offers comprehensive Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) PPO medical and prescription drug insurance with low copays and deductibles. The company pays the majority of the cost of the plan and allows employees to contribute with tax-free payroll deductions. BCBSM’s PPO network allows you to choose from the largest network of in- and out-of-network providers in Michigan and across the United States. Wolverine’s plan offers more protection than other companies, limiting your exposure to costly health expenses.
Employees receive dental insurance coverage at no payroll cost to you. Employees may cover their spouses and eligible dependents up to age 19. If your child is a full-time student they are eligible to remain on the plan until age 26. Covered services include preventive, basic and major dental services.

Life/ AD&D Insurance
Because it’s so important to those who depend on you, Wolverine Packing provides life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance at no cost to our employees.
In the event that you become disabled from a non-work-related injury or sickness, Wolverine provides short term disability insurance to replace a portion of your income for a period of time. This coverage is provided at no cost to our employees.
401k Retirement Plan
Another way that Wolverine shows appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our employees is to establish a 401(k) retirement account for our employees. Upon meeting eligibility requirements, employees can redirect a portion of their income on a tax-free basis to save for future retirement goals. Employer contributions vary based on your plan.
